Married people, where is the line between "mine and yours" and "ours"?

What are examples of items that have stayed separate?

I think only gifts and very personal items that were obtained before the marriage should remain separate. Possibly his and her cars as well. Anything bought for the family/couple to use together, obviously, becomes "ours".

hahah, funny...My cosmetics and lingerie is where I 'draw the line'.

Seriously, we shared most everything but there may very well be cases where "your's" is not HIS and his is not YOUR'S.

Each couple works this out accordingly to their relationship...There is, NO GENERIC answer dear...

It’s all “ours”. It’s just that there are some things that each of us don’t want…she does not like my plane and I don’t like her VW Bug…etc-etc-etc
