Quiet beach near Disney World?
My husband and I will be visiting Disney World the last week of October. If we find we have the time, we thought we might like to visit a beach that isn't more than a two or three hour drive away. We are an older couple, not interested in the "beach scene" or in crowds. We have been to a couple of beaches on the Gulf side of Florida and found them to be quite attractive. Any recommendations?
I should mention that we're not so much interested in swimming as we are in shells... :-)

One hour from Disney - closest is Cocoa Beach - from there you can go north or south to many other
beaches, Very popular New Smyrna up to Daytona Beach Should not be at all crowded. Water temperature getting cooler but still acceptable for most swimmers. Water on this side usually rougher than on the gulf side, Closest on the gult - less than two hours from Disney are the Saint Petersburg
beaches- We like best there Fort de Soto - Following south there is one good beach after another down to Clearwater. Many like to take te short boat ride to Caladesi Island, considered one of the best beaches in the USA. Going north and a little further away are the excellent beaches near Sarasota-
Siesta Key and Ana Maria island. This time of the year none will be crowded.

No you can't do this. At the same time Disney does off free parking to Disney lodge guest it's for the use of the resort visitor. On the grounds that you are not staying there they are going to challenge a parking cross for a 3 hours. Significantly, just pay the 14 bucks to park. For those who cannot find the money for to pay the cash then you should not come to WDW. There is a also a little bit factor known as courtesy. Should you lived near a important enchantment however your street was free parking. Would you really need all people parking in your field filling up each house so that you or your friends had no where to park. No. So do not do it to humans paying huge bucks to stay at a Disney inn.

Cocoa Beach is my FAVORITE! It's NEVER crowded on the off season, so you're safe. I think it's only an hour.
