Is Katanagatari related to Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari?
What is it exactly? Is it like a movie? Or episodes like Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari? Is it even related to those anime?

The Katanagatari series has nothing to do with the Bakemonogatari or Nisemonogatari, they just have the same sounding name at the end, if you're into Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari there's a prequel to them called Kizumonogatari coming out(no news on release...)

No, they aren't directly related.
Katanagatari is a 12 episode anime series. The only relation Katanagatari has to Bake and Nise is that all three of these anime are based on light novels written by NisiOisin, but otherwise Katanagatari isn't related to Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari at all.

Katanagatari is a completely different anime series about a samurai that uses a swordless style to fight ninja and samurai to get the special swords made by Muramasa or something like that.
Bakemonogatari has spirits and a totally different art style.
