My high school is racist towards caucasians?
I just began 10th grade and I thought it would get better, but it's only getting worse.
My high school is about 80 - 85% East Indian. The rest are minorites like African, Asian, and Caucasian.
It's really frustrating because I am not racist whatsoever! It just seems like being Indian is a club, and I'm being excluded. I would have thought that the other minorities would come together, but Asians only hang out with Asians, and Africans only hang out with Africans.
It's not even just the students, but my school puts on Indian celebrations and plays Indian music in the cafeteria, but when Christmas rolls around, you'll be lucky to find a streamer.
The other white people are not who I'd like to hang out with (they do drugs, smoke, and drink) so I hang out with my friends from elementary school.
I really want to transfer, but my teachers all say that I have guaranteed scholarships because I have a 4.0 GPA, which is rare for my school.
I just want to know how to deal with it ... Thanks for reading this! Ah!
And ... people always tell me "You're really cool ... For a white girl." <------- What does that even mean?

It's more or less a compliment. It's kind of like saying "You're really smart.... for a blond". It's different in different cultures. You may think its a jab, but to them it's a compliment. Unless of course their sneering or hinting other wise. Again it comes down to cultures. I got used to that type of thing. Their saying your nice for a white girl. Meaning they've probably met some really mean white girls (I honestly wouldn't doubt that), and are complimenting you. Just go with the flow. If it bothers you politely ask them to not call you white girl. You are basically the same as them, except your white and are nice. 'Race' was just a way Europeans ,back in the day (like 15th century) ,came up with the idea of 'race' so this way they could come up with reasons why they were superior to other beings, just by skin color, and other factors (mainly skin color and skull size). And good for you for staying away from bad influences! Do not stray as you've got an excellent future ahead of you!

At least your teachers aren't racist or you wouldn't have a 4.0 GPA. They'd find a reason to say your English or History papers weren't written correctly and such. Forget about the other students. You'll never see them again. You'll have a whole new life at college and with a scholarship. Hang in there. These other students aren't worth it and your teachers are correct. My son has a nearly perfect written score on his SAT's. His SAT's in English were high, as well as Math. He won a scholarship and went to a college where being white was a minority. Big mistake. His professors were mostly non white. They gave him awful grades and we switched him to another college. This college was nearly all white. Today he as a 3.8 GPA at college. The other college would give hardly literate kids A's on written papers and give my son B's and C's. It got absurd, given his SAT's were so high. My husband and I are college educated. We knew our son had outstanding writing abilities. Either they found reason to put him down or English was not their first language and they screwed up. Now he's doing well and wants to forget how the non white teachers treated him and favored their minority students. Only white teachers gave him good grades. At this new school he had one history teacher who wasn't white and you guessed it, would ding him for English mistakes that weren't mistakes. The guy couldn't speak English himself, yet told my son his English was incorrect. You are lucky that your teachers are not being racists towards you and I'm going to bet most of them are white themselves... and English and American History are in their blood. Math and Science cannot be objective, but History and English can. Be happy they aren't putting you down on something as subjective as written papers. Hang in there and good luck. Most people never see the people they went to high school with... even again.

The last statement just means they are racist. Also people hang out with the same race because they usually understand each other. They have faced the same discriminations and they most likely have the same beliefs. Also if I were you, I'd stay. You have a GUARTANTEED scholarship!! Things like that don't always come around.

What city do you live in? You should be aware that there are way more white majority schools than the reverse, and a lot of minorities are the victims of stereotyping and racism by whites.

It sounds like you accept them saying these things. So, they will continue. When you get tired enough of it, you will end it. Stay classy.
