Trying to lose weight, would this be an okay diet?

So i've been over weight pretty much all my life and recently it's starting too bug me and get on my nerves esspecially with being in high school

I'm thinking about only eatting cabbage soup which contains

(Stewed and whole tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, celery, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and garlic)

and jello

Just, soup and sugar free jello, do you think it'd work?

The whole box of jello when prepared contains 40 calories

and the soup is all vegtables

so?

Update:

I weighed 200 pounds last year and I lost 60 in the matter of four months

I'm 15, I play ringette and do physical activity in gym everyday at school (not sure if that counts as physical activity but still lol)

I don't eat meat and I'm afraid if I eat foods the 'keep me full' like foods that are startchy and contain fat, or a lot of carbs and such I'll start getting addicted to them

for example, I can't stop eatting honey latley. I never would have touched it until my dad told me to try it once in my tea and now I eat like a 1/4 cup a day ahh I just was too weight at least 120 pounds or less

Not a good idea. You'll lose weight, alright, but the minute youe at solid food, you'll gain it back.

A better approach is to "fill in" with the soup and jello as snacks and eat a well balanced diet....cutting out the junk foods and sugary stuff.....and you'll keep it off.

Remember, when you lose weight, what you want to do is change your eating habits. That makes this a life long venture....not just something to do for the next few weeks.

Soup has a great deal of sodium which will make you retain fluids. Read the Adkins Diet and see what you think. I lost 55 pounds in 5 weeks just by following the diet strictly and including 30 minutes of hard cardio daily.

The best part of the diet is after a few days you lose your hunger. You have to force yourself to eat.

  • Well this seems good but in case this won't get you full try to find other foods that are healthy that will fill u up even better.turkey and fish are healthy so you might wanna implement in your diet.it is important that you don't skip meals no matter what or eat less,as this will mess with your metabolism.just eat healthier foods and you should be fine.but one important thing is exercising.try to exercise for at least five days a week for at least 45 minutes each day,the more the merrier, and you will definitely see result.try to push yourself when exercising for seeing faster result, but take it easy in the beginning.
