Do you think the name Owen is good for my puppy?

I like the name Owen, but name him what you feel is right and suits you best. Try it out by calling Owen a few times and some other names you're thinking off and pick the one that feels best. Owen is a good name because it has 4 letters and 2 syllables so it'll be easier for the dog to learn his name.

I think its great! When thinking of a dog name,i dont use names that sound like a command that I teach my dogs. For example names that start with S our D because of the sit & drop commands, but this is just personal choice. It won't matter to most people and dogs unless you plan on doing high level obedience. And maybe not even then... I believe it may help to stop the dog preumpting a command, eg, you are only saying name of dog, but dog sits because he's keen and thinks yr ABOUT to say Sit

Yes! It suits him. I loove people names for dogs I think it gives them character I hate stupid dog names like Gizmo, Nacho, Spot etc. I had a jack russel named Ricky an it suited him! I actually just posted a question should I name my shepherd mix Luke or Tommy. Owen is perfect for your lil guy. Good luck!
