Is there a law against driving barefoot, uk?

I always find myself driving barefoot as I'm always in heels

It's safer to drive barefoot, as long as you always remember to toss those heels in the back or onto the passenger side. Keep them away from the pedals.

Why would you want heels anyway? They're terrible for your feet. I always just go barefoot from the start.

I totally live in high heeled sandals. Barefoot is safer for driving I know, but my calf tendons have been shortened, now so it really isn't comfortable for me to do any thing barefoot, so I just keep my sandals on. If I'm out with my daughter I always have her drive. She's always barefoot and a good driver. I feel more comfortable knowing the feet on the pedals are bare (or maybe I'm just lazy in preferring my sandaled feet to be passenger feet). If Becky even brings shoes with her (usually not) she keeps them in the back.

    Hot.

But no, there's no law against you driving barefoot in the UK. However, your shoes can't hinder your driving. So while you can't be cited for not having shoes on, you can be if you keep your high heels near your feet and pedals.

I don't think so. I do it whenever I'm in flip flops so I have more control of the vehicle. It's not like they're going to pull you over because they used x-ray vision to check your feet. And even if they did notice they can't stop you, because you would be safer driving bare foot than in shoes which aren't suitable for driving.

No. We are required to equip ourselves so as to drive as efficiently as possible. If, in your case, it means shedding your footwear, so be it.
