what should be the sodium intake for someone who is 21?

i am 21 and would like to know how much sodium i need in my diet. i would like for both women and men

    The maximum amount of sodium (salt) you should consume each day varies by the authority you consult but most medical authorities put the limit at 1500 to 2200 mg a day. That's about a teaspoon. The limit is the same for both adult men and women. It's hard to completely eliminate salt and you would not want to do that anyway because salt is needed tat the cellular level to maintain water balance in your body. The minimum amount of slat you need is only 200 mgs a day.
