Did Al Gore really say that?

The former VP of the US actually said that because of the altitude of Denver, Obama was not up to par. Romney was there a few hours longer and had time to adjust?

Is this a fvcking joke? NO, he was serious folks.

No wonder the sane people are beginning to laugh at the liberal loons.

Update:

EDIT - it is absolutely incredicle the excuses being offered here

1. You all know damn well Al G was serious

2 . He didnt have the opportunity to prepare for the debate like Romney because he is president??????? ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING? He has NOT been a president, he has been campaigning for almost a year.

This is why you liberals are laughing stock, excuse after excuse.

You are truly a deluded group of people.

You know, all Mitt has to do is campaign and prepare for the debates. Obama is still the president and doesn't have the luxury of spending all his time preparing mentally and physically for the debates. Obama spoke the truth - he said what needed to be said......he looked a little tired, and that is certainly understandable. Gore was not excusing Obama for his words but was expressing empathy for someone he supports. On the other hand, Romney looked like he wanted to break out into a hip hop dance routine.

Hey - no need for delusional insults and cussing expletives. Obama is the President - get that through your head. He has a job to do, and he has done it well.

It wasn't a boxing match or some other strenuous sporting event they were participating in, it was a debate. The altitude had NOTHING to do with it. Obama simply doesn't do well without a teleprompter and someone putting words in his mouth.

I've seen numerous Democratic flunkies on the news trying to make excuses, or (more laughably) spin the debate and try to say that Obama was better.

Frankly, I find it offensive that there is an after debate analysis at all. The purpose of a debate is for the candidates to get their opinions communicated to the audience, and for them to attempt to promote themselves while discrediting their opponent. The audience should be making up their OWN mind about who they think did better. Unfortunately, a large majority of US citizens are ignorant sheep who mindlessly follow whatever they're told, and want some analyst to tell them who won so they don't need to think for themselves.

I live at 8500 ft. above sea level. When people come to visit me from 'normal' altitudes, I can count on them needing a nap upon arrival. lol. That much is true.

I watched the video of Gore saying this... I'm confident that he meant this as a joke. lol.

(For the record: I don't think Obama lost the debates either. For those who haven't been watching Romney very closely along the campaign trail, I certainly understand why they might see it as a clear victory for Romney - but the truth is, Romney made a 180 degree departure from the talking points he's been pushing for the past 8 months. lol. That is, if lying to the American people is a strategy for success, then yeah... I guess you could say that Romney won. However, Obama's message and plan has been steady and consistent throughout this entire race - unlike Romney, Obama is being honest and forthright to the American people for the duration. Who would have imagined that Romney would change his whole platform five minutes before the debate started. ROFL! To those of us who have been watching both candidates closely for the past several months, it was blatantly obvious that Romney was scripted to lie. He was reiterating talking points that he knows people want to hear - with this arrogant smirk on his face... knowing full well, that this 'brand new' script bears no resemblance to what his campaign really stands for. Indeed, Romney only made him appear 'Presidential' to those who have not been paying attention. :)

While I suspect he may be joking, it makes some sense. If you look at the Denver Broncos' performance at home over the years, they have a disproportionate number of wins compared to what it should be, based on their away performance. For example, if they had 60 percent wins away, they should have a comparable performance at home, but they don't. It's substantially higher, and it's because there is less oxygen available at that altitude, which can cause a host of problems.

I asked one of the trainers with the Houston Texans about this, and he said the same thing. When they go to Denver, they try to get in several days ahead of time to acclimate to the elevation.

But then, I don't think Obama lost the debate.

Gore, a thin air head, did say that. However, Obama had spent the previous few days in Las Vegas which is 2028 ft. above sea level. Therefore, going to Denver which is 5000 ft. ab

bove sea level is no big deal. In fact traveling in a commercial jet is like being above 5000 ft.

Sounds like something Al "Global Warming Fear Monger" Gore would say.

  • This came from the same guy that claimed he invented the internet. Al Gore has to be one of the dumbest politicians ever.
