What are Good salmon egg brands?

What are a good brand of salmon eggs?

I know power-bait makes some good trout dough, but I'd like to try salmon eggs for trout. What's a good brand (And specific variation if any) for most basic purposes?

Also, I don't do much fishing with bait. And I don't do live or dead baits. What are some basic rigging methods for a salmon egg? And if you could, some more complex methods for dough baits than just a slip bobber and an octopus hook. Some specific materials I would need for such rigs would also be helpfull (Such as weights, leaders, hook type)

Thanks guys!

Yes... I know I sound stupid so you don't have to point it out. When It comes to bait I'm an amature, all I've ever known to some point of depth is lures.

Update:

EDIT,GMB) Sounds fair... And looks pretty good too, I'll have to try that soon... Thanks

Update 2:

Brian: If I'm looking at the one I think you suggested, looks even better! Thanks for the suggestion,

Update 3:

EDIT, Chris and paul) Ooh! Those look great. Thanks, but by any chance do you have a favorite label? I know paul said red color eggs, but they seem to have alot of different labels (Premium, green label) Any favorite?

Update 4:

Chris) I understand that... But they have different variations. The same company, but different named eggs. Like the " Green label" Or "Premium" And the "Gold label" Which has glitter...

Years ago when I used bait for trout I used Pautzke's Balls O'Fire salmon eggs. You get a tiny, almost circular, salmon egg hook and bury the hook inside the egg, so that all that you see is the 2 lb test leader coming out. I used what was then called a "sliding sinker rig" (since then the bass guys have renamed it a Carolina rig), but later I figured I did as well with just a 1/4 ounce splitshot.

    Source(s): http://www.pautzke.com/products_ballsofire.php -- I always used the red ones.

I will second Pautzke's Balls O'Fire salmon eggs. With any salmon egg bait though you need to check the contents before purchase as some batches left out in the heat will be dried up balls of unusable stink only good for chum at that point.

@ Pautzke's is my favorite label or brand.

@ I use the green lable with the larger eggs.

There are hooks...I think they are #6 hooks which can be specified for salmon eggs. Fish them as almost the bottom as you can in present. Trout and salmon do not chase their food too far in the wintry weather months. If the bait is in their face, they are going to chew. Get a bobber....Load it up with mini split shot for your line, spaced every 10 inches or so....You wish to have about 6-eight ft of line beneath your bobber. And recollect to fish the current and any holes or swimming pools which can be round quick moving water.
