How do I become a Pharmacy Technician in Georgia?

I am currently in undergrad completing my pre reqs for UGA's pharmacy program. I wanted to work at a local pharmacy as a pham tech to get come experience/pay. What do I have to do to be able to do this? Do I just go on the the georgia board of pharmacy website and submit a application or do I have to take a test?

Hi! You probably know if this site http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/pharmacy/? I've been looking on there to try to find the answer to your question but I haven't yet - hopefully that site helps. Good luck! :)

  • I suggest, in order to make a better living as a Pharmacy Technician, you become qualified through either passing the PTCB or ICPT. Both are very reputable institutions and have an immense amount of pull when getting you a job in the pharmacutical field. I suggest checking out www.pharmacy-tech-resources.com They are filled with a lot of valuable information.
