There is this girl who i am friends with who I have to take her out to a $100 dinner as payment for a bet (loser had to take the winner to dinner). All my friends keep telling me its a date and i am very adament it is not.

If you lost a bet and have to take her out for dinner, it isn't really a date because going on a date means you asked her out and want to get to know her better.
