Why do Christians always say to atheists "evidence is everywhere, you just REFUSE to accept it"?

Because they have no evidence and can only make false claims!

Academia states that in the absence of any sort of evidence of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable evidence is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.

The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!

At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!

The first person to provide a shred of verifiable evidence for God will become world famous and mega rich!

So when these people make their false claims put it to them that if they are not making totally false claims they need to produce that tiny little shred of evidence!

they dont understand what the word "evidence" means. If they found something "moving" or "beautiful" like a sunset, they feel it has spiritual significance and they have been indoctrinated to Believe that that is "proof" or evidence

There is NO lie so unbelievable that you cannot convince a small child of its truth if you repeat it over and over again, with conviction.

Deluded people always want everyone to see things the way they do, and see things as "proof" of their delusion that others just don't see. Of course, there is no actual "evidence".

When I was younger, my husband and I, who are child free by choice, were frequently told by our friends about all the joys of parenthood and why we should have kids. We could see from our vantage point that in many cases their lives were miserable and their marriages crumbling. I think sometimes people who are jealous of your situation (Like Christians may be about Atheists lack of need for a deity), they try to convert you to their side, so you can be as needy and miserable as they are.

It's funny how when they make the argument for "Oh look at all the pretty things in the world! Oh the trees and the flowers! Surely there is a god!"

Why don't they ever mention things like rectal warts, fecal matter, acne, and the Twilight series?

They have 'created' their own definition of evidence and they 'believe' that it's right...

The ones I really like are the ones that claim that they don't care what evidence is shown, they will only accept the Bible...
