Chronic pancreatitis, help me get energy?

I have chronic pancreatitis and I'm even getting a whipple operation on the 16th. But until then (only 6 days away) I have a lot to do. I always feel extremely week. What can I do to get energy? Caffeine helps a little, but I still feel like I weigh 1000 pounds...is there something I can eat? Or do? Please help me!

Most people with Chronic Pancreatitis feel weak. I don't think there is much you can do about it. You shouldn't be drinking caffeine though. It's a stimulant and you should avoid stimulants with CP, as it aggravates an already inflamed pancreas. I know you are getting the surgery soon, but some people who have a whipple are no longer candidates for a Total Pancreatectomy with Autologous Islet Cell Transplantation. Have you researched this surgery? Some doctors are ignorant about Pancreatitis and what solutions are best in the long run. Anyway, I hope you didn't mind that I added my two cents about it. I have just seen so many people suffer because of lack of information with this disease.
