Are your surprised that the Reds fell to the Giants and are headed home?
I think I'm in shock a little.
I'm a Cardinal fan and I was already thinking the Cards would win, the Reds would win, and we would play it out........

There is an intangible called Heart. While the Reds were out hitting the Giants in the first 2 games and first 9 innings of game #3, the Giants have done the little things ever since.
Arias put a ball in play and the winning run scored, Hunter Pence made pregame speeches that fired the team up, Lincecum pitched his best all year in relief, Crawford and Pagan made great catches, Posey threw out a runner and hit a grand slam and Romo won a 15 pitch at bat with Jay Bruce in the 9th today.

I was thinking that the current Reds baseball team in the seasons after "The Big Red Machine" of the late 1970s would have some pretty good home-run hitters, but since Pete Rose is gone and banned from baseball (he was a former Cincinnati Rd), I guess the "no more Big Red machine" haunted the Reds this postseason.
If Pete Rose were to play right now, the Reds would have about a 22-34 percent chance of making it into the NLCS, and a 11-12 percent chance of making it into the World Series.

Not that much. The Giants are used to battling through adversity, while if the Reds get knocked off track, they have trouble recovering. But it was bizarre that every game was won by the visiting team.
BTW, the Reds were at home.

I was absolutely stunned that the Red lost Game 3.
After that, the way the matchups were set up, and the way Dusty Baker manages, I am not (completely) surprised that SF won Game Four and Game Five.
