Will Boris Johnston be the Leader of the Conservatives at the Next UK Election?

even if he "publicly" Does not want to be at the moment

I am Not a Tory voter

Boris would have to be elected to a seat, first after resigning as London Mayor

But he is "liked", even among Non-conservatives.

So, it is not pure Fantasy.. or is it?

No, the Tories will probably not ditch Cameron until after he loses the 2015 election. At that point, Boris may well win their leadership contest.

There's no need for the Tories to have a leadership contest at the moment, as they're sitting in an all right position. The Labour party is really in no position to lead the country, because of a lacklustre shadow cabinet and poor leadership in Ed Milliband. So they'll see how the Tories perform at the next Election. And if they lose, Boris will probably be voted in. I understand he wants to stand as an MP again--so it seems like he's just playing the long game, with regards to the situation.

Maybe in the next few years, he'll find himself as a leader... he's an intelligent man, and he knows how to stir a crowd with British passion. Which to be fair, people buy in to... for some reason we ignore those who talk with statistics and numbers, and who give definitive prove of their actions, etc etc.

Id say he'll be a strong candidate for when david resigns or gets kicked out. But he may just want to stay mayor of london as hes pretty much guaranteed re-election

I bloody hope so, the UK would be a much better place. The economy would be in the gutter, but good ol' Boris will make riding a bike without a helmet the shape of a dildo illegal

It's more likely John Major would become leader.
