What would you consider is the "nightmare of reason?"?

a clue to be mindful of: No! It is not I, as my parents sometimes believe.

so...what would you deduce it would be???

clue: something which for the most part we never exercise.

clue: has been evident in some of Goya's most provocative drawings.

any guesses?

thanks!

Update:

nameless: is not "projection" a great disguise - when one thinks it has been delivered convincingly???

nothing is gained through insults, dear nameless - except what would stay best; hidden.

the rest of you are alright - all these could be considered part of the one-word answer. thank you for your civility so unlike mr. nameless.

goya drew about this - and courageously against punishment by the church! - he did get away with making his point, when not nearly engaged into duels with the men, whose "majas" he could not resist painting...

Update 2:

so far - you; ghost, are the closest to the one-word answer - for which i search. thank you.

yes, logic is indeed essential to arrive at defining this hair-shir-like - prickly "nightmare."

    Procrastination.

Reason becomes a nightmare if we can't reach a decisive conclusion.

I was going to offer a great post in response, but since it really isn't a question, just some show-off ego jacking, I'll duck on out before I get any on me...

It's usually considered to be logic, but how you are relating that to Goya I don't know, if I were to then maybe fear?
