First Beast and Second Beast, spoken of in Revelation 13?

So the beasts... who is the first and who is the second? Do you believe there is a antichrist who is "THE" antichrist....?

For we know that anyone who denies Christ is an antichrist.

1 John 2:22

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

Update:

William-- Jesus DID exist.. It is a historical FACT.

And Jesus IS God as the bible says...John 1:1, Colossians 2:9 (are a few examples) But also no man is without sin except Christ... who had come in the form of man (being God) and gave His life so we may live. Only his blood could cleanse us from all sin. Why his blood? Because he is God and God is holy and perfect and with blemish.

I don't know about this Revelation 13 you speak of, but the First (all hail Chicken!) and Second (all hail beef!) Beasts were on my plate during a corporate party yesterday. Even the Third (all hail Shrimp!) Beast was hiding in there somewhere.

And no, it is NOT a historical fact, and sounding so HYSTERICAL about it doesn't make it true.

The Bible is quite clear as to when the Antichrist will appear, what he will do, and what his destiny will be. Regarding when the Antichrist will be made known, the Apostle Paul writes that the coming tribulation period spoken about in the Bible (cf. Daniel 9; Matthew 24; Revelation 4–18) will not come about until the Antichrist is revealed: “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

Paul also teaches in the same passage that there will be an event that will unleash the Antichrist upon the earth: “And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed” (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7). Many theologians believe this event will be the rapture of the Church. The Church’s removal from the earth permits the Antichrist to be unveiled and begin his worldwide campaign of conquest.

Speaking about the Antichrist’s crusade, the Apostle John writes about a vision he is given in Revelation that describes it: "Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, ‘Come.’ I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer” (Revelation 6:1-2). It should be noted that the white horse signifies a conquering ruler and the bow with no arrows telegraphs the thought that the Antichrist will win his campaigns mostly through peace rather than via war in the beginning.

Tracing the building of the Antichrist’s earthly kingdom through Scripture (cf. Daniel 7:8-11, 7:19-26, 9:24-27, 11:36-39, 11:40-45; Revelation 13:1-8, 17:1-13) reveals that he will take possession of a ten nation confederacy that will represent a revived Roman empire. Seven of the nations will willingly give themselves over to him, while three will be subdued. The Antichrist will also sign a false peace treaty with the nation of Israel (cf. Daniel 9:24-27) and appear to bring peace to the Middle East. This and other actions prompt the world to marvel at his prowess: “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?” (Revelation 13:4).

However, the Antichrist’s false peace soon evaporates when, in the middle of his seven year reign, he enters a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God, showing himself to be someone “who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4; also cf. Matthew 24:15). The Antichrist will demand worship from all humanity and will execute any who do not bow down and worship him (cf. Revelation 13:15). It is at this point that the true Creator responds to the challenge and begins to decimate the Antichrist, his kingdom, and all who follow him. This will be the period referred to by Christ as the Great Tribulation (cf. Matthew 24:21).

The Great Tribulation culminates in the battle of Armageddon when Christ returns, puts an end to the Antichrist’s reign, and assigns him to eternal destruction: "And the beast [the Antichrist] was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone” (Revelation 19:20).

The Antichrist’s destiny is fixed and certain, as is every person’s who chooses to follow a false messiah instead of the only true One. Because each new day brings humanity closer to the time when the Antichrist will be set loose upon the earth, it is critical that those who have not yet put their faith in Jesus Christ do so and escape the time of the Antichrist’s rule: “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

The first beast is the antichrist who will be the head of the revived Roman Empire.

The second beast will be the false prophet (Rev 16:13) who will have everyone

worship the first beast (The Antichrist).

And they worshiped the dragon who gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given to him to continue forty and two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

    .

There is insufficient space here to do justice to this vital subject.

I would guess from your writings that you are a protestant - ALL of the original Protestant Reformers (i.e. the real reformers who probably started the branch you are now with) knew who these "beasts" are.

The first beast of Revelation is the Vatican, as all the requirements fit to a tee, and

the second beast is the US of A.

The Beast in Revelation is basically any group against God. It has manifested in many ways. I wrote an article on it here: http://www.bible-study-lessons.com/Beast-of-Revela... God Bless.

The antichrist will be the person who leads mankind to one currency, one government, in the tribulation.

Of course they would say that wouldn't they. The church doesn't want people going around disputing their doctrine, they might lose power.

How does anyone KNOW who Jesus was, we don't even KNOW that he existed
