I need your advise...?

I worked for about 8 months in big company. The working conditions are really harsh, the people are rude and looks down on others. So, one day after working for 8 months, I just can not imagine myself any more to be part of that big company so I decided to have a rush resignation. I was happy with my decision. But how come I feel bad and ashamed of myself, like it left a big scar in me. Whenever I apply for other comapnies, It is always brought up and they ask really difiicult questions putting me in rough waters. I am ashamed of myself and I don't want to be seen anymore specially by those people who worked on that comapny, Ive heard from a close friend of mine in that comapny that they had judged me and talk negative stories about me all the time and used me as a good example as a bad employee. Why? they don't even know my real story... Some of my friend collegues liked me because I was brave enough to resign regardless of the name of the company. but I really feel judge, like my conifdence really went down... Any advise... thanks!

Update:

they call me a quitter...

Decision we make in haste during an angry moment will almost always come back to haunt us. This large corporation employs many people, many of them must have worked under the same conditions as you did. They are naturally going to malign you. If these were not such tough times maybe others would have sided with you if your reasons were actually shared by them. Most people realize that there are very few jobs waiting to be filled. There are some very good workers that you compete with now. Companies the used to scratch the bottom of the barrel find people camped out at their door for a job. You didn't use the best judgement career wise. If you try to defend yourself to another employer you must bring up how badly you were treated. That is not going to set well with the people you are interviewing with. You will come off as a trouble maker. I advise you to leave your past job off of your résumé

As you get older you will understand that happiness is more important than salary! That being said, you need money to survive so sometimes you have to work jobs you don't like. My advice next time is to secure a new job before quitting the one you have. That way your income is safe and you have no additional stress. Keep smiling :)

Don't worry bro those other people are jealous they are stuck in that company and don't have the willingness and courage you had to leave. Get another job and say I don't need them. I survive on my own
