What do you think about hyphenated names?
I don't typically like hyphenated names but some I think are okay. What do you think? I sort of like the name Kara-Anne. But I think it kind of looks stupid. I don't want to just make Anne a middle name. Would it be okay to give her four names. I'm worried it would just be too much. Help please!

I hate it, sorry. I find it really unneccesary. You can give her two first names without having to hyphenate them. I know a little girl called Rhona Mae, which is her full first name. I wouldn't worry about her having four names. Anyway, good luck :)

I have three names and its a tradition of royalty to give their children four names. So its not weird, not at all. You could do something like Kylie Rae Annette Joy and call her Kylie Rae, with no hyphen. All four names are more of a formality type thing, so its not a big deal to use more than one.
As far as hyphenated names go, if they're classily done there's no reason not to like them. There's some hick sounding ones out there, a lot of Anne ones but just because those are found most often doesn't mean you have to follow those same trends. You could do something like Lucy-Kay, or Diana-Lynn. I would just stick with shorter names if you're going to hyphenate and not do something like Anastasia-Andromeda.

My cousin's name is Tara Lynn but everyone thinks her name is just Tara so if you want her to be called Kara-Anne definitely add the hyphen

I'm not fond of hyphens, however I knew a girl names Marygrace and it didn't look write when written. In this case, I think A hyphen would be best.

I love hyphenated names as when you unite simple names, the outcome is usually elegant and admirable. However the hyphen isn't necessary to join two names. I quite like April Willow or Liesl Flame, they are akward but I think they're authentic, genuine names with a profound sense of positiveness, implicitly related.

Congrats for your little girl!
I agree - most of the time I don't like them but in some cases it can make the name really pretty.
For instance there's a girl called Beth-Anne at my school, which I like much better than Bethany.
Kara-Anne is pretty but I think Beth-Anne flows better.
Hope this helps, good luck naming her :)

They aren't really my style, but I think they're okay. I don't see the problem and the over reaction some people have.
