is300s mpg and me getting the car.?

lately ive took a liking into this car because of a few of these reasons

1. its a sedan

2. its rwd

3. its practical

4. its super reliable

5. it has a decent amount of space.

but i realized that the mpg was pretty shitty. many people say that they get like 19 or 20 mpg on highway. i find that super hard to believe because

1. that car isnt that heavy

2. it only has 6 cylinder

3. my lr3 land rover which weighs twice it get 19 on the highway at best.

so can someone who knows is300s really well explain to me

1.what makes it waste so much gas (assuming what i hear is true)

2. if the above is wrong, what is the actual mpg

The reason why the MPG is not desirable is because its a entry level luxury vehicle. You have access to all the horsepower the engine was tuned. By that I mean when your driving on the freeway you can pass up an LR3 with a tough of the gas pedal.

I currently drive a G37 sedan. I have the done the comparison with a Altima or Maxima which is exaclty the same thing and the MPG's differ because of the tuning.

If your worried about MPG get a toyota or honda. But if you want luxury buy the car and enjoy it.
