What do you use for teminal tackle storage?
Skip to the last paragraph for the actual Q... I'll this from now on so you can skip my unessesary rants, if you read past "actual Q" ... You don't hate me yet, that's good!
For my soft bag I use Plano, 1061 (The little 3 pack that has 1 single compartment box, 1 4 fixed compartment box, and one 6 compartment box) Very small and fits nearly anywhere for my octopus hooks. Plano 3455 For Worm hooks and another forJig-headss. And the waterproof 3500, one for my drop shot weights, bullet weights, screw in bullet weights and egg sinkers. Then another for Split shots, nail weights, sinker stops, toothpicks (Which I keep in a small bag from an arts and crafts store if not they slip into another slot) Tube rattles, beads, swivels, brass carolina tickers", and other more specific things
I use these becausee they fit well among both my hard and soft tackle systems
So what do you store your terminal tackle in? Do you keep them in original bags, or separatete it into boxes along your tackle box?
Thanks guys!
Oh... S-B-a-C-B, great answer but I only meant things like hooks and weights. Nice adding the rest of it though. Basically I didin't mean lures just rigging materials and such. As explained I keep mine between the sizes I mentioned. That's why they are such small box sizes, terminal tackle dosent need a huge tray, All my lure boxes that go in my main box and bag are 3600 and 3700 like most people. Thank you very much for the detailed answer though, I really appriciate those.
JohnB) Thanks for the answer, I use some flambou trays seperatly for a quick trip on hard-baits. The zerust works great! Thanks again

LURES: I honestly have 1 little plano box with about half a dozen lures. A Frog, 2 topwater plugs, 2 Rat-l-traps, a Rapala Original floater, a Spinnerbait, a Jig and a Buzzbait.
SOFT PLASTICS: I have another regular sized tackle box with pumpkin seed and tequila sunrise curly tail worms, red & black brush hogs, watermelon senkos, watermelon flukes, watermelon horny toads and pumpkin seed lizards.
WEIGHTS & HOOKS: The only weights I have are worm weights and the only hooks I have are circle hooks & worm hooks and I just keep them in the same little bag I bought them in.
I try to take as few things as I can because I put them all in a backpack since I mostly fish from the shore, fish down here arent very picky and I usually catch about 6 bass in half an hour using just 1 or 2 lures, then again I fish in a small, non brackish, freshwater lake that literally nobody fishes in even though its right next to the biggest road in the city lol.
The rest of my fishing gear is stored away at home in my tackle box which I hardly have to open, I believe that my system makes it sooo much easier to switch lures or to find things.
Source(s): The 2 lures that I use almost 80% of the time is my topwater plug and my 7.5in curly tail worms. EDIT: yea I kind of had a feeling that I didn't answer this properly after I re read the question, btw its no prob. - enufofthisshitLv 69 years ago
Oh, God... if you saw what l carried with me...
a tacklebox full of lures and terminal tackle. has all my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits as well as knives pliers and other necessary tools.
a soft bag with 7 or 8 what,? maybe 6X9 or 7Xsomething boxes. one small double sided plano box in EACH of two pockets on this bag. maybe 7X10. this is my worm pack and needs worms from 3 and 4 inches up to 10 and 12. the big worms l use only in a very few dark colors but all the others, especially the 4s, 6s and 7s l need a multitude of colors to "match the hatch" as it were.
another small bag with a half dozen little bit smaller boxes with all my spooks, ricos, frogs and other hardware.
anyhow, that's basically it.

It is now not ample to get it all in one bag but utilizing a couple that maintain a representation of your whole stuff however no longer greater than say five of each and every is pretty effortless. No one cares what i take advantage of however i've six bass containers but best two I take out when fishing. Person who holds spinnerbaits, jars, elements, line spools, additional reel (or two) and instruments. And one that holds all plastics and crankbaits. Each and every weighs about twenty kilos. The entire others maintain the leisure of the duplicates that i don't take with me all over i go everytime i'm going. Each person of the baits I may just buy dozens of after I use them and have success with them I surely do not lug round with me, I hold them at house and elevate most effective a representation of everything and change any and the whole lot upon return residence when or if i use my "stock" up or loose a bait. The 2 I take with me for bass are much like the one at this B P S site:

I use a flambeau outdoor zip up multi level tackle bag that fits up to 7 medium sized plano boxes. I keep only terminal in this bag, one box devoted to swivels and clips, 2 for different hooks, 2 for weights, 1 for pike/musky leaders and another for miselanious ( mostly flipping/ pitching stuff, bobber stops, t pegs, punchskirts ect.) Have 2 different bags for storing hard baits ( jigs, crankbaits, ect) and another devoted strictly to soft plastics and large hudd swim baits. My flambeau bag works great for all my terminal and came with 4 medium plano's for 35 bucks, its tall rather than wide so it dosent take up much floor space on the boat
