Where to buy a new laptop?

I'll be needing a new laptop in the near future, My current Dell Intel Inspiron (15.6") i3 , 4GB memory is nearly three years old & i'm outgrowing it. Photography is one of my main interests, so I have thousnds of stills and videos. Storage space isn't really an issue, it's the handling, editing and transfer of these images I'm more concerned about.

Up until now, I've been waiting for the new 3rd generation hardware & USB 3.0 to become available. The only other item I'm aware of on the horizon is a new, better wireless standard, that would be very desirable.

My real question is - where is the best place to buy a new laptop. I do like my current Dell, but would like to get opinions on other makes and/or sellers. Considering all aspects of a purchase: product quality, price, support and customer service. I'm open to any suggestions as far as make, features & seller.

Most of the stuff you have mentioned has more to do with software and internet provider. If you want faster wifi speed, you need to either move the laptop closer in range of the router, buy a more updated routers and contact your internet server provider and upgrade to a higher speed.

Picture editing and transfer, has to do with what photo software your using, computer only come with a basic photo editing or whatever software may come with a digital camera you buy. If you want something better your going to have the buy software like adobe photoshop.

Transfering pictures onto your computer, has a lot to do with how many pictures you importing onto your computer and sometimes how much ram you have installed on your computer.

Your computer is not that old, my computer is a little over 3 years old and works great for me. It's fast and does everything I need it to do. So my suggestion to you is wait a couple more years to buy a new comptuer and just upgrade the ram of your computer to either 6gb or 8gb depending on how much your computer can be upgraded to and that will help improve the transfer issue.
