Would a US Queen above the President stop all the bickering?
If the US had a non political Queen (Not like Dame Edna) as Head of State above the President would it stop all the bickering, try this anthem.
God save our gracious Judge Judy,
Long live our noble Judge Judy,
God save Judge Judy!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save Judge Judy!

First of all, CaneFu, you can still be a democracy under a monarch.
Secondly it would be a massive constitutional change that would need to pass your tough amendment procedures, which it probably wouldn't, so all of this is purely theoretical.
If you were to have a monarch, powers would need to be split between the president and the monarch. Who would be the head of State? The President's powers would be restricted massively, as would Congress', so it would be like tearing these two offices in half and giving them to your monarch. It would be an idea to have a non - partisan head of state but it would mean massive changes to the way the USA would work.
Loving your new national anthem too!

The Queen has power but not much!
She is a figurehead more than anything.
If she were to be removed from the throne and made a normal citizen she would have more power. Her ancestors handed over land and buildings and other assets that, in todays money are worth over a trillion pounds. They did this in exchnage for an annual salary and to remain on the throne. The contract becomes void if she is removed and, therefore, she will own most of the UK and London.
She is kept on the throne to tie her and her family down. without the throne the British government could not control the Windsor family!
This is why governments play nice with her!

No, the king or queen in a constitutional monarchy is what is called a
figurehead. He or she stands for power, but has no real influence over
government decisions.
There is an advantage in having a monarch as head of state though.
That person can preside over ceremonial occasions, when politics
would be out of place.
When the head of state is also the president - as in the U.S. - it can be
awkward for Republicans on Veterans' Day to have to listen to a Democratic
president praising the courage of American fighting men and women.
There is someone who they hate with a passion, saying nice things about
the troops.

The queen is below the prime minister in Briton. She technically has the power to take over the country but it would start a civil war and she would be thrown off the throne. Although it might work in America, your stupid saluting of your flag is proof you need a divine figure head.

I asked an insulting question earlier to get a response out of British people on here and it worked.
What did you do to the nicest lady in the world. Princess Di?

If that happened then the U.S. would no longer be a Democracy, it would be a Monarchy. I think you have missed the point - a democracy is supposed to debate issues and vote on things...THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT.
If your nerves can't take listening to all the debate in this country then move to North Korea or Iran - you won't have to listen to any dissent there.
