Why do women think that men can't take care of children?

I think that a man can take care of a child. Sometimes, men can take even better care than a woman, depending on who they are. However, the man I was married to played video games while our daughter got into anything she wanted, then expected me to clean up after her when I got home.

If a man has a nurturing instinct, he can do whatever a woman can do, and ought to be paid exactly what a woman would be paid to do the exact same job. That is what I believe with all my heart.

I've heard some women who were quite chauvinist in their views. Some think the man's place is at work, the woman's as a housewife and stay at home mother.

They for some reason believe that men can not raise kids. Yet we see empirical evidence segregating otherwise.

So yes, it's a sexist, narrow minded, and false viewpoint.

Just because women can birth children doesn't mean they're good at raising a child.

I beg to differ. my aunt has me watch the baby all the time.

I'm a man...watching a baby that a woman leaves me alone with expecting me to TAKE CARE of her confident she will return in good condition(which she does) and that takes trust. Call it what you want, I'm happy to do it for family. Especially the same family that took care of me when I was growing up. What's I'm saying is that your original question about women thinking men can't take care of children(and the concept of not being trusted) is wrong.

Any woman or man who thinks being a male means you don't know how to take care of children is an idiot.

Woman are VERY protective of they're children. Men have... Well, short attention spans when it comes to that sort of responsibility. But on the flipside, and no matter how much it pains woman to accept, it takes more than 1 person to raise a kid. Family, spouses, and friends all have a part. But,they are sometimes overprotective.
