What church do you go to?

I don't mind so much about denominations, as long as they teach and try to live out the Gospel principles. I have attended 3 very different congregations since my conversion to Christianity: pentecostal, Anglican and now a small bible church. I don't mind about format; content is what's important.

Some people have actually gotten upset with me because I am not denomination-bound. As far as I know Jesus doesn't carry a card.

I go to our local Roman Catholic Church. It's the best church for me, but it's not for everyone. I like going and supporting the services they provide for the community like our soup kitchen.

I go to music, poetry and art events, and lectures on psychology or politics that strike at the heart of human issues that affect us all. I also like the occasional yoga or group meditation session. It helps to feel centered on my emotions and it feels good to do so in a group setting.

the problem with religions is they were written thousands of years ago when people didn't accept womens rights or gay rights, and people were enslaved and tortured or stoned to death. All that stuff is outdated now. Also, we understand mental illness, it's not witchcraft or people possessed by demons. Finally, people do need to get a divorce sometimes. Religion assumes that all couples should stay together, even when you have an abuser or murderer for a wife or husband. That's not the right way to guide people. Religion is an unhealthy and wrongheaded way to connect with people and the world. There are other ways which are healthy and effective.

I only go past churches.

Best Church: None, but I would have to probably go with the Universalist Unitarain Churuch, because they tolerate and welcome anyone into their congregation.
