BLUE HIBISCUS-BUT FLOWERS ARE PURPLE?
Hello, A while back I asked about my blue hibiscus and why it was drying out. I was told that it was because it was nearing autumn and like the rest of the trees of this genre, they do this. I now want to know if I should be pruning it. Please help, I love these beautiful purplish flowers!

Certain types of flowers (such as hydrangeas) will turn from red to blue or from blue to red based on the acidity (pH) of the soil (like litmus paper!). Your hibiscus is probably the same. For more info on things that can cause the color to change, see my link below.
As for pruning, go ahead: "prune as necessary to control plant size and cut back errant branches. Cut branches back to just above a side shoot.".
