WinCo foods - about a 10 mile drive

    WalMart - " "

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market - 1 mile

    Stater Bros - 3 miles

    Ralph's - 3 miles

WinCo and WalMart often swing back and forth as to prices, but WinCo has a much bigger selection, and produce is far better. Nearby, Fresh & Easy has the best ground beef, and produce in small amounts.

Stater's and Ralph's are the closest large groceries. Stater's has gone to lots of house brands, and is carrying less of the items I like. The local one has poorer quality produce than one farther away. Ralph's is more expensive, but has my favorite butcher, a relationship worth cultivating when you have questions and need something special.

Food >>> Mainly Walmart and many other various grocery stores

I find Walmart has the most cheapest vegetables, some meat and snacks.

If I want to buy paper towels, milk and eggs, I go to Shoppers Drugmart. If I want lots of meat for dinner I go to Save on Foods or Pricesmart, ground beef is always from Safeway.

Weekly grocery shopping is done at "Sender's Market" in town (15 mile drive)

Monthly shopping is done at Walmart in the "city" (45 mile drive) for household & bulk items

During the monthly trip we also stop at "Save Mart"... shop the sale items and bulk groceries.

MOST of our food comes from our own ranch - veggies, meat, poultry, dairy... but we need flour, coffee, sugar, beans, rice, etc.
