Isn't it interesting that actual voter fraud keeps coming back to republicans?
First Republicans try to pass wholly unnecessary voter ID laws in order to suppress voting groups that tend to vote for Obama, then all the stuff that happened in Florida this year, and now we learn that the Romney's actually own part of a company that makes the voting machines in Ohio? How on earth are people not shouting this and crying foul to the world?
Edward, so your two instances should mean all election fraud is done by democrats? Plus, the President of the United States doesn't prosecute criminal cases. You have a problem with what happened there, talk to the district attorney. Is it right what they did in 2008? Absolutely not, but you need to realize how the system works before you throw it out there, because in no way, shape or form does that = voting fraud.
Putting laws in place deliberately to make it so one person has a better shot at winning, as the republicans did with the voter ID laws, is fraud. Illegally registering one person to vote multiple times under crazy aliases, as was happening in Florida, that is voter fraud. Having a candidate for the Presidency have a direct financial link to a business whose products will determine who wins the election has the incredible possibility of creating a HUGE problem in this election. These are all facts directly linked to a problem. Not something you are reaching for in orde

Monster, which of those things you mention are anonymous rights guaranteed by our constitution? None of them. It is unconstitutional to impede anybody from voting in any way, shape or form. In-person voter fraud is a boogie-man issue created for the republicans to find a way for them to win states that they otherwise would have a much more difficult time winning. This is a problem that does not exist.

yes in 2004 there were 57,00 voting irregularities-all favored bush. the chance of bush taking Ohio. Pa & Florida was calculated by statisticians as being over 1 in 600,000
As a voting rights activist in Ohio 2004, what I learned/witnessed convinced me 99.9% that our votes dont count when they don't want it to count.
I wont forget how the same precincts I worked at in the 2004 primaries (one a minority district the other a mixed poor area) going from lines of 5 minutes to lines of 3-7 hours one district where students voted in Ohio had 14 hour lines & how proud I was of the people who stood there, endured & waited to vote.
We heard of & saw people passing out on chemo, the old/sick needing to leave as could not stand there so long, diabetics passing out, parents crying as they had to leave as their kids needed to be picked up or were crying with hunger/bathroom needs, of fights breaking out where people waiting several hours finally left line to use the bathroom, then tried to reenter the lines of the people crying & upset that I spoke with that had to leave the line as boss said they would be fired if they didn't leave immediately as many as 1/3rd of the people in line had to leave as here in Columbus Ohio in my 45 years of voting every election we had never seen lines over 10 minutes so noone was prepared.
As the lines gathered. some people brought food, water & chairs to help when they could. At the colleges they tried to get their fellow students to stay & played games to pass the time. They towed cars, intimidated felons to get people to not vote.they send out false info &did threatening phone calls.
They (the republican voting officials like Matt Damscroder and Ken Blackwell (who broke elections law in the recount with its fraud) made these long lines by subtracting voting machines in EVERY democratic district in Franklin country leaving some districts with 2 machines for 1300 voters & many with only 1,2 or 3 machines despite record registration for Dems. Also several polling places closed for part of the day due to no machines or broken machines Noone could reach the board of elections.
Meanwhile they sent the voting machines they took from the poor, minorities & college areas more likely to be Kerry voters & sent them to the rural/suburban repub areas more likely to vote Bush by giving them 6 to 16 or more new machines in all the repub districts where they had zero to 5 minute waits compared to 2 to 13 hours in democratic districts.(this is gained from observers & sworn testimonies of poll workers.
They also hid over 100 voting machines in a warehouse as reported by repub newspaper the Columbus dispatch. These lines they created to get rid of Kerry votes in Florida took place in scorching temperatures-here in Ohio it was pouring freezing rain & high winds so strong they blew my umbrella inside out constantly/blew chairs away. It took me hours to warm up when I got home.
Not to mention the many ways voting activists found out they did with the voting machines (all owned by republicans) but when TPTB want a dem in there they can rig it that way too, Its clear to me we do not pick our president & we need hand counted paper ballots.
They used at least 35-50 different methods to cheat.
The way to know how to prevent is to know the many ways used to cheat already. I highly recommend people go 7 watch these videos'
http://www.freedocumentaries.org/index_cat.php?cat...
Since much of this was not reported in the media although some was by our local republican newspaper, one needs to if they care about democracy see these films I lived here, was a voting rights activist=what I learned convinced me 99.9% that our vote doesn't count anytime TPTB dont want it to
I attended the hearings in Columbus & also testified & am in some of these films & know people in them. I will never forget all I witnessed/learned. So many of us cried when we gathered & someone sang a song she wrote about that day & the loss of democracy as we realized our votes dont matter anymore.
Trust me even though the massive fraud that took place in 2004 benefited the republicans, I would have worked just as hard if it had been democrats cheating, In 2004, there were 57,000 voting irregularities most in swing states-all benefiting Bush
For a map of some of these irregularities/problems, both in Ohio who decided the election & in the US go here

http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/20... here is more on what you are talking about the owning of the vote machines
Source(s): excerpt in other words, a candidate for the presidency of the United States, and his brother, wife and son, have a straight-line financial interest in the voting machines that could decide this fall's election. These machines cannot be monitored by the public. But they will help decide who "owns" the White House. They are especially crucial in Ohio, without which no Republican candidate has ever won the White House. In 2004, in the dead of election night, an electronic swing of more than 300,000 votes switched Ohio from the John Kerry column to George W. Bush, giving him a second term. A virtual statistical impossibility, (SEE THE ARTICLE FOR THE REST) also as far as Ohio this year and ways it can be stolen http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/20... - janieLv 79 years ago
I just prepared this answer below for someone asking about how we can prevent voter fraud but she picked a best while I was writing it so I will post it here

For one, we should not let Romney and his brother, wife and son have a financial interest in the voting machines that determine the elections and have secret propriety software that cannot be examined as all computer exports say w/o examining the source-code and the software these machines can change election results dramatically w/the push of a button
The only way to have real elections again where every vote or most votes count is to go to hand counted at the precinct paper ballots-the people of both parties must demand this, Not sure what statistics are now but in 2004 fully 75% of democrats, 50% of independents and 25% of republicans did not believe the vote counted which might account in part for low voter turnouts. We need to scrap electronic or computer voting and go to harder to hack systems of voting. High tech voting machines etc are easy to hack, We didn't want optical scanners for paper ballots as also can be altered too.
We need bipartisan observers, open elections that can be verified and this needs to happen at the precinct so results aren't altered along the way as has happened.
see film uncounted to see one of these programs in action go to 51:11-58:15 especially watching at 55 to see this in action
Also must sees are from 3:00-7:00 for the many ways they did the fraudulent elections.
Unfortunately, all the video, independent observers etc in the world cannot catch one of the main ways of vote fraud and that is the machines with their secret software that is not allowed to be examined and the many ways to rig it without any detection from election officials.
In order to stop it, one must learn from history the types of vote tactics etc used to steal votes but this can be hard as once people are aware of them they try to stop it next time and the crooks know this and therefore constantly come up with new unexpected ways to cheat.
Knowledge is power but we dont always have knowledge.
I suggest people watch all the free vote fraud movies here http://www.freedocumentaries.org/index_cat.php?cat...
watch the movie uncounted or at least the 10 minutes I marked above with the place in the film to go (3 minutes and 51:11) and one can go to 2004 at this site and read the articles for 2004 and 2005 election news
http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/20... and go here for more on the 2004 elections on what happened in Ohio or read US congressman congressional report what went wrong in Ohio
also some more vote fraud documentaries here as this is one of the most fraudulent elections to date and a good study

The organization ACORN will not be cheating, it's the temp employees that ACORN hired to register voters. Nobody can vote without showing proof of their identity so the false registrations will not outcomes the out come of the election. It is pretty foolish in charge a entire social gathering for what a couple of lazy temp workers do. You need to speak about cheating? Take into account Florida?

Yep. If you remember that Newt Gingrich did not get on the Virginia ballot - he needed a minimum of 10,000 votes. Although his petition had 13,000 signatures, almost 4,000 signatures were found to be fraudulent. Newt was more than happy to toss his campaign manager under the bus, and readily admitted the fraud.

Let me get this straight. Romney's portfolio Investment Agent, decides to
purchase shares in a company that produces voting machines and SUDDENLY
he and his family will commit voter fraud in their basement ? And frankly, the
only 'people" still so concerned ( who have graciously forgotten ACORN for Obama)
about the Voter I.D. Laws are lazy Liberals.
Answer: Of course Soros owning stock in a voting machine company doesn't
concern you "people". The FACT that the machines are being sent out to a
FOREIGN country to be counted ( Democrats idea ) doesn't bother you. Won't
read you leftist news because it NOT mainstream news WORTHY.
@@ Read your additional comments. Wouldn't it be LOGICAL by your
argument then that the DOJ would "act" and prosecute such "illegality"? Or
just perhaps, States have the RIGHT to enact such laws, whether you agree
with them personally or not. Besides, with the Libyan issue, Fast & Furious
debacle and the October "surprise" for Obama coming next week, this seems
a bit "past tense".

Ya right. Do you need ID to cash a check? Drive a Car? Check out books at the library? Have a checking account? So what if he is the owner of shares in a company that handles the machines. He had no part of running the company. He is a share holder. Do you understand what that means? Obviously not. A typical share holder has no control of the running of the business. Here, have another glass of that kool aid.

Just frightful Kevin.
Remember the black panthers intimidating voters in Chicago in 2008? Remember that the Obama Administration declined to prosecute even though what they were doing is a federal offense.
Now do you see why we tend to think of the Democratic party as the one more inclined to overlook voter fraud?

I don't find it interesting, but I do find it typical. As for his investments, Romney likes to claim they're in a blind trust. That's a lie. A blind trust is managed by a disinterested third party and the beneficiary (Romney) should have no knowledge of the specific investments. In Romney's case, his investments are handled by his personal lawyer.

Reality is a liberal conspiracy, so they will try to change the interpretation of what's real in their favor.
