I need a situation where people get stuck in a cave?
I'm writing a short story for school. And the characters are challenged with the question of morality. One person died and the other is questioning herself if she should eat him or not. But I don't know how to get them into the setting that is realistic enough. Thank you for you help!

People can get stuck in caves for many different reasons: they become lost, they foolishly take an avenue that they cannot return on, they're underground and some sort of seismic event occurs, they're tricked by someone and then purposefully entombed, etc.
Pick your poison.
You can also do a web search on real life situations in which people were trapped and see how they got into and out of their fix.
But yours sounds like an interesting basis for a story.
BTW: Cave exploration is known as spelunking; cave explorers are spelunkers.
