Do you agree with this assessment of the 2012 election?

There are three choices:

1.) Someone who is a flip-flopper.

2.) Someone who has already flopped.

3.) A potentially good president, but running under a ticket that can't win.

Why or why not?

Update:

@ Dave: I don't; do you?

I absolutely agree with every word you just said. In fact I don't think I could have said it better. I dislike Romney because he can't make up his mind about anything, I absolutely abhor Obama because I think he is a socialist buffoon, but voting Libertarian will do nothing but ensure four more years of Obama Destruction on America. Personally, I'm a Ron Paul Libertarian, but if Gary Johnson were in Romney's place I'd vote for him. If I thought the Libertarian ticket had a chance, I'd vote straight Libertarian. They are the only ones that truly support the government staying out of our f---ing lives.

Actually, I consider it all depends upon the opposing candidate (or in all probability candidates?). A reasonable populist opponent may turn Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina into toss-up states which might in no way "reliable" states for President Obama. Disappointment with Obama could turn to low turnout from the formative years, which would be unhealthy news for him. I think it is too soon to claim, after the 2010 midterm elections and the establishing of the Republican primaries, we may be able to answer this.

I don't agree with that assessment, and I'm a little confused about your 3 choices. You're saying Romney is a flip-flopper, I assume. You're saying Obama has flopped, I assume. (I disagree with that assessment of Obama, BTW). Okay... so what's the 3rd "choice" that is "a potentially good president, but running under a ticket that can't win"?

Your 1st choice is Romney, your 2nd choice is Obama... so who is your 3rd choice?

So, your assessment of Obama: Obama hasn't flopped or failed. Obama inherited a failing economy thanks to Bush and years of bad, Republican economic and fiscal policies. Obama saved the economy, which is rebounding back as we sit here typing.
