Why did Romeny NOT answer the Question about "Equal Pay?"?

It could be that Romney reduced his states budget by hiring women and not paying them equal pay with the men! He did not answer the question but he said he had hired women and he earlier had said he reduced the sates budget: COULD that have been by paying the women less? Is there some way to find his budget and see who was being paid what?

Did he also pay women at Bain Capital less than he was paying the men?

Update:

Skirmis - -- Although there was no law at the time Romney was Governor there was a lot of controversy about paying women less wages for doing the same work men were doing. One of the first things President Obama did when he came into office was made it a federal law that both men and women MUST be paid the same wages as men for doing the same work. That of course means the pay scale must be the same so a woman and a man doing the same work over the same time frame to the same standards must be paid the same. Wages should never be established based on gender but in Romney's case there seems to be a strong indicator that he did discriminate against women in his workplaces by paying them less than he was paying the men for the same work!

I don't know about Romney, but as a woman I was paid less upon entering a company as an engineer than males. I had gone to a better school and had experience from summer internships and found out... men were being paid more than the women doing the same job for the same amount of time. My boss laughed and said, well, men have to support families and I only hired you because the government insists on it. Later on the company was reprimanded by the government and they had to make up my pay. I got extra money to make sure that in a year, I had been paid the same as the men and with back pay. These were government jobs we were working on, but through a private company. My boss hated the whole thing and told me that single women shouldn't earn as much as married men. I was just stunned. I was designing an entire job and was in charge at this point. My boss put my in charge because I also have a math degree and he said no one else did and I'd need a lot of math to design what he needed. So, I was now ahead of everyone, even the men. They built things based on my designs... yet I had been paid less. I won't get into labor unions and how they don't hire women or minorities and get away with it. So, yes, I believe it can be true that Romney paid women less. It is a matter of public record what the state workers make. You'd have to go to the state capital of Massachusetts and ask if you can't find it online. They'd have to show you.

I work in a office and we all do about the same job but we aren't being paid equally so how can women just expect this.
