Would the UK rather be in the US or the EU?

I respect the UK and think they should have their sovereignty. I support Nigel Farrage and the UK. He is like the UK version of Ron Paul. But if you had to choose would you rather become a US state/4 US states (England, Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland). Your government could remain very much the same way it is. The constitution permits parliamentary republics and allows compacts between the states if congress approves (such as the UK). The only thing is you'd have to get rid of is the monarchy and the theocracy. OR would you rather be in the EU?

Update:

Its true that the US GOP party is heavily influence by Christians. But our head of state is not the Head of the Church of England. In fact we do not even have a head of State, since the USA is not a nation, but instead of federation of republics.

Eu probably, America is going way to far down the fascist route for me, I just couldn't imagine living under the cloud of your patriot act plus your broke.

Also I wouldn't say farage is anything like Ron Paul, they are both honest guys but farage is no libertarian & he wants to increase the military, maybe I'm over the top but I think Ron Paul not becoming US president is similar to the crucifixion of jesus (big admirer)

The EU is the world's largest and strongest economy, despite having rogue states that need bailing out. The US is a failing economy and owes China $17 trillion. Nigel Farrage, as well as various members of the British Conservative Party and those indoctrinated by Rupert Murdoch's press, want Britain to leave the UK so that their American sponsors can enrich themselves buying up our assets in the fire sale. It won't happen. The USA will be part of China first.

Theocracy, yes we have a theocracy in the UK, and you definitely don't have one in the US even though a major party is dominated by YEC christian fundies with a candidate (santorum) that would ban pre marital sex, abortion and contraception. I have come to despise the EU, but i would rather be in it a billion times over than have the GOP and democrats tear my country apart.

I'd rather be in neither, the UK is the UK.

However, if I had to choose as per your question, I would rather be in the EU. I have no interest in becoming part of the USA, not ever. We are not American, we are English / British. And proud!
