why do i find forbidden things more interesting?

i seem to like forbidden things...

Things that i cant have...hot guys ofcourse...like them...but i know none will never give me the time of day.

I get back with my ex...simply cause in my heart i know...i want to risk that feeling and though my brother and mother hate him.

I like the idea...the (jane austen life story)

where she ran away with him and never ended up together.

Perhaps its cause i looove a tragic romantic ending...where even though i know they will not end up together...they had a spark!

Thats all that matters...people rarely have that feeling!

Why do i like the forbidden things...and am i the only one?

Hey! But taking someones property does not interest me...

That includes boyfriends...

But that is the forbidden ryt?

I am bubbling.

In short...i like it when there is something to loose and you have to hide...risk...

Humans are often prone to masochistic tendencies at times. Basically we find pleasure from pain inflicted upon ourselves (as opposed to sadism - inflicted on others) Forbidden things come with a possibility of danger/punishment which excites the individual into testing the limits of the obsession.

The 'love' in romance is also mostly based on this idea. Pain inflicted on the characters every time they feel despair at some obstacle is shared with the reader/voyeur and releases a pain/pleasure response. Then every time their is hope it is usually crushed by another obstacle until the final outcome of the story is resolved. Many romance stories contain characters that are destined to be apart and yet somehow get together at the end (unless they don't i guess). This struggle with attraction versus life ultimately leads to emotional turmoil. It's sort of like a roller coaster ride that gets your heart pumping and your adrenaline pulsating through your body for a while. The high doesn't last forever though.

I doubt Literature has anything to do with it. Everyone likes forbidden stuff. Risk and pleasure often go hand in hand.

But there are consequences to taking risks. You need to realise your attraction to forbidden stuff needs to be confined to the realm of fantasy (and yes writing stories can be one way to do this). In reality, running away with some guy is often downright dangerous and stealing someone's boyfriend hurts other people and makes you a bad person.

I think you read too much teenage books/ watch too many teen movies and tv shows/ are influenced one way or another. You're very strongly affected by them. You like the IDEA of forbidden objects/people but really, you want a nice guy that you really actually like for himself and not for the idea of him. You are living in your fantasy. Snap out of it.

And no, you are not the only one. You are not special because you like forbidden things. We all crave the thrill. I used to feel that way also until I realized my unrealistic dreams about this were dragging down other things that I really care about.

    Write stories.

You can enjoy the forbidden in romance stories that you write.

You can write them as yourself being the girl in the romance or someone else.

She sat on the ledge of her open window and watched him lifting the furniture from the truck into the house, his skin dripping in sweat and his curly dark hair getting into his eyes.

    (((or)))

I felt his lips nibbling at my neck and tried my best to stay hidden behind the tree in my front yard but I felt sure that my sister would see me if I relaxed and enjoyed the most erotic moment of my life.

"Damn it!" ... I whispered under my breath ...

"Don't stop me now baby, I want all of you and tonight we are going to make love right here under this tree" laughed Ricky as he slid his tongue up the side of my throat and held me closer than I've ever been held before.

    (((lol)))
