Why is it that when I try to sing...?

Whenever I try to sing, I find it easy to sing the high notes and solo parts of songs and even choruses, but when it comes to parts where it's like they are talk/singing I find it very difficult and breathy.

Why is this? What can I do to make it easier?

If what you mean by talk singing is singing from your chest voice then I think I can help you..

First of all, read the article in the sources below... It helped me ALOT (it's wordy but worth it!). Secondly, always be sure to drink warm tea with honey or lots of water before and after singing - it helps soothe the throat and prevent damage. Stay away from soda and milk, as it causes your mucosa (the mucus membrane lining the throat) to thicken and makes singing harder and affects tone quality negatively.
