Why didn't the Cowboys try and throw a hail mary yesterday at the end of the game?

Exactly! I don't know what they were thinking. That's why Garrett has to go. he's the one calling the plays. ----------------------

They were about 60+ yards from the end zone so that's about the farthest that a QB can throw, it would basically have been a jump ball with a few receivers who are outnumbered about 2-1 by defensive players.

So, what gives you a better chance at a miracle TD:

Option 1, a 60 yard Hail Mary into a crowd where you have 3 players and your opponent has 6? Its called a "Hail Mary" because you're just throwing up a prayer, it doesn't work very often.

Option 2: complete a pass in the middle of the wide open field and hope that your Receiver can break a few tackles in the open field and run it in? They should have pitched the ball or even just thrown it backwards on the ground before being tackled and the cowboys should have had a few players trailing the ball carrier to take a pitch, but the play had about as much chance to work as a hail mary so it wasn't a crazy idea or a bad play call, they just didn't execute the way it was supposed to be done.

They did try to do that, but if you saw the play, the offensive line never gave Romo enough time. He was running around the whole time even with a 3 man pass rush. He had to throw underneath to just avoid the sack.

At first, I thought that's what they were trying considering Romo ran around the pocket for 10 seconds, but they sent receivers forward to distract and then block the defenders while they ran a short route. It got them to the 20ish yard line, but there wasn't anyone to lateral back to, might have worked if there was someone there.

Not close enough, plus even though receivers ran for it they were not there yet. Plus they are too dumb to know any better. The team needs John Gruden or Sean Payton as coach.

The play they ran gained about 40 yards and could have worked had the receiver been able to pitch the ball back to a trailing teammate.

    Because the cowboys are bad

  • probably because the clock was running down and they were no where near the endzone and needed a point usually how it goes

Because they're from Texas. Just like Republicans, not the smartest group in the crowd..
