Why Can a Woman choose to End an innocent life claiming it's her body?
yet
1 She cannot choose to not wear a seatbelt ( Maryland will pull you over for it)
2 She cannot choose to sell her body for sex (police even set up stings to catch Johns and tricks)
3 She cannot choose to introduce her body to drugs ( women are in prison for possession of drugs )
So please anyone can you explain your logic for keeping Abortions legal , not even a fine ?
I would also like to add it's a fact having an abortion can have an adverse effect on the woman's
health.
Approximately 10% of women undergoing induced abortion suffer from immediate complications, of which one-fifth (2%) were considered major.19 However the majority of complications take time to develop and will not be apparent for days, months or even years. Major risks and complications of abortion are described, with citations to the medical literature
we must do our best to find out what is true

Well, with respect to some drugs, I don't think the drug laws make much sense. As for seat belt laws, wearing seat belts saves lives. You know, of those who have actually been BORN.
When it comes to a pregnancy, for the first 12 weeks (when the vast majority of abortions occur), it's a collection of cells that is a potential life. It has no sentience or consciousness. It is completely dependent on the woman. Would you rather she end a pregnancy she's not prepared to carry to term or engage in unhealthy behavior throughout the pregnancy and have a kid she doesn't want and will either abandon or abuse?
Or did you forget that pregnancy results in a baby? Because a lot of you seem to forget about that "innocent life" once the feet have cleared the birth canal. To quote George Carlin, preborn, you're fine; preschool, you're f*cked.
And I hope you will advocate for increased access to birth control because contraception means fewer unwanted pregnancies which means fewer abortions.
If it's not your uterus, it's not your decision.

None of the situations you listed are comparable to abortion, though. A police car can pull you over because they visually observe that you are not wearing a seat belt, police can arrest you for soliciting or advertising sex by visually or aurally observing you doing so, police can arrest you if they find drugs on your person or in your home during a search (which itself must be the result of probable cause).
By the very nature of human pregnancy, however, at least until later in the pregnancy, it is not evident to the naked eye; as such, that makes it nearly impossible to know someone's status as pregnant or not without violating their bodily autonomy. Considering that any sexually active woman within her fertile years can potentially be pregnant (whether she's aware of it yet or not), if the government were entrusted with protecting embryonic and fetal life, it would necessitate tracking all that life. Leaving out for a moment the impossibly of such a vast increase in size of government and funding required to do so, are we ready to mandate pregnancy testing of every single sexually active woman in her fertile years, every month, until she undergoes menopause? To keep up regular checks of women confirmed as pregnant to ensure they are remaining so, and if they have a miscarriage, start a criminal investigation to clear her of any wrong-doing? Or would it be more of a supply-side problem to tackle- making sure all female citizens of reproductive capacity cannot get pregnant, perhaps with chastity belts, or mandated IUD placement (which would presumably still require regular testing to check and make sure they had not been removed). Or I suppose we could just keep them locked or monitored- bring back the ol' chaperone system, so no single ladies are ever hanging around a man alone.

Early legal abortion is one of the safest procedures around- it's safer, even, than getting a shot of penicillin. The rate of complications is low (less than 0.3% of abortions result in complications requiring hospitalization: http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/fb_induced_abortion... ) and continued pregnancy and childbirth pose their own risks as well.
Hope that helps!

I actually think many of those laws are misguided and incorrect. In the case of helmet and seat belt use it is good sense as studies show in some cases they greatly reduce extent of injuries. Although in some accidents it may be better to be thrown clear, one can't predict though how injured in the process of being thrown a person might be. Generally its better though to use safety devices. I do think they should be voluntary not mandated. The argument has been that those who receive greater injury for not using safety devices create more financial burden on the rest as a result. This could be addressed other ways, like requiring greater insurance premiums for those who want to choose to not use them or not paying when they aren't used but still giving people freedom to make that choice themselves.
Prostitution should be legal but protective health and abuse laws enforced in my opinion. It should be a person's right to decide if they want to have sex for money so long as they weren't forced into it.
Drugs are also made illegal based on arguments about the cost to those who the negative side effects of its use impact. Again, I think it would make more sense to make some drugs legal but regulated.
The arguments here for making some of these things illegal are the harms the choice makes to society. Not allowing women to make their own reproductive choice would probably be more harmful to society overall than allowing them to retain their individual rights to make that choice. Poverty and poor situations for raising children are often the main factors in women choosing abortion. I don't see most of the pro-life crowd voicing willingness to pay more tax to give the children they would be forced to bear a decent quality of life. Women who want abortions will still seek them and receive them in black markets which create even more problems for society. Just as with prostitution and drugs, our laws haven't made those go away either.
A woman is far more likely to have complications minor and major from pregnancy and childbirth than a legal abortion by a qualified provider. I'm not sure what sort of point you were trying to make but it has no bearing on the state having the right to decide for a woman.

Roe vs Wade, 1972. Now show me the president or congress which has introduced or passed legislation against abortion in the following 40 years.
It's over, you lost 40 years ago. Stop beating a dead horse.

Everything you eat came from an innocent life, too.

Get a sex change and have your own baby. Conservative Christians have been conned into serving Mammon by the money changer Republicans. The Republicans have no intention of ever outlawing abortion. By promising to, like Bush did, they will keep conning the poor Christians out of their votes.
