Is the president obligated to inform the public on National security matters?

Obviously not, I'm just wondering if there is a reason everyone feels entitled to know about Benghazi.

No, that would endanger the national security to talk about what the Pentagon is doing and the Pres. does not always know like the Benghazi secret operation the CIA was running which led to the 4 Americans being attacked.

The president lied to cover his @ss. That is different than keeping an issue classified.

Kind of like if Bush lied and said the world trade center was caused by an air traffic control error.

Some yes, but making everything public is just foolish.

There are some things the government should know that is kept from the rest of us.
