Does anyone believe Romney actually received less votes then McCain?
Call me crazy, but I just need help with this question. In looking back at the 2008 election and this election, I don't think there is one person who would say this campaign was not run better than 2008. Im not saying Romney was a great candidate or won the election. Heck, he was probably 5th on my list of people I would have liked to see on the ticket. But I am saying that if you look at the voter enthusiasm and intensity it was there for Romney. He was getting the crowds, he was getting the numbers, he was getting the donations, and there was a general attitude that Romney was going to win the election. None of this was seen in 2008. So take this into consideration of the lack of people who voted for Obama in 2008 going back to McCain. So with all of this plus the record Obama had, I just can't figure out how Romney didn't gether the votes for McCain. The early voting stats and the reports during the election were all showing great enthusiasm for republicans.
Again, I know it looks like Obama was able to get his people out to vote. But I just am trying to figure out how/why the Romney voters who were out at the events, donating money, and actively being involved in the elction didn't come out to vote. This just doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe Romney should've picked Sarah Palin as his running mate.

McCain had a bigger slice of Latino support than Romney and was generally better liked overall than Romney going in.
But to me the biggest difference is the tea party influence in this election that did not exist when McCain ran. Their rhetoric and inflexibility do not resonate with a lot of voters. Romney had to sway too far right to win the nomination.
Too bad, because I think if he had been allowed to run as moderate Mitt (in my opinion-his real self) he would have had a better shot.

Crowds and donors number in the thousands, voters in the millions. You can't judge the temperature of the US by looking at a few local conditions.
Romney's voters were overwhelming white, as were his crowds. The US is much more diverse. That's why he lost.

Romney completely skipped over the conservatives. That stupid remark putting forward he replaced into seriously conservative in all probability became a good style of human beings off. He also skipped over the Tea celebration. That despatched a superior message to numerous million human beings and they sat that election out. they did not worry to vote in any respect. That replaced right into a huge mistake through his campaign.

Me either but anyone who didn't vote can't complain about anything and those who voted for the president as well have nothing to say about bad conditions.

It is very suspicious. Also, there are certain precincts in Ohio and PA where Obama received 99.5% of the vote....suspicious? Hmm...the exact same place where GOP officials were removed? Odd....
