What should Bush have done differently?

Republican or Democrat, we all know Bush was a lousy president. Do you think he should have avoided going to war altogether? It put us in so much debt but I believe there would have been other terrorist attacks if we did not go. What should he have done about the Middle East?

Bush really wasnt that bad of a president. The only significant mistake his made was the 2003 Iraq invasion. We should have never even bothered with Iraq. There was absolutely no reason to.

So if you ignore the ridiculously costly 2003 Iraq war, Bush jr is a pretty decent president. Nothing great, but definitely not bad. Pretty mediocre in all, really.

Oh and I consider myself a liberal.

He should have stayed in Afghanistan and wiped out the Taliban, instead of moving our focus to Iraq and letting the Taliban build itself back up again. That would have taught the rest of the Middle East not to poke the sleeping bear. He should not have lied to get us into Iraq.

He should not have allowed the mortgage lenders to develop all these exotic instruments that let them lend to people who could not afford houses and then dump the bad mortgages on each other and the taxpayers. When he set up Medicare D, he should have insisted that it be able to negotiate with the pharma companies just like Medicare does with everything else. When he first went to war, he should not have then passed a second tax cut instead of returning the rate to Clinton's to pay for the war.

He should have put some effort into learning what the world was actually like, instead of annoying and offending all those foreign dignitaries so that they dreaded a visit from him.

In other words, he shouldn't have given corporations priority over the American people, both in tax status, no bid contracts to Halliburton and KBR, and the horrible loss of over 4,000 lives in Iraq, where we never belonged.

Iraq was not necessary and cost us lives and money. He was briefed over a month before 9/11 that Al Quada was preparing an attact. http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB116/inde... The government should have been put on high alert and was not. I am not saying 9/11 could have been prevented but we will never know. Six months later he said he"truly was not that concerned" and then shortly after closed the team who was going after OBL.

After the 9-11 attacks he had no choice but to go in to Afghanistan. To not respond with military force would have been political suicide. That said he should have never invaded Iraq. We should have kept our eye on the ball and focused purely on Afghanistan.

Everything. Starting with going to war and including the Patriot Act, and the Military Commissions Act, and the Bush tax cuts.

It goes much further than what is on the outside. Few people know that the Bush family owns water in Paraguay to monopolize on it. Few people know Obama is in with the Bilderbergs. Most people don't know anything about who their beloved leaders really are. Go ahead, bash Bush or praise your savior Obama. In reality, they don't care about you, they care about themselves and the other elites.

The US pulls in about 2 trillion every year in tax revenue. Ten years in Iraq have cost just over a trillion (about $100 billion a year)

Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered. Liberals trash and damn conservatives regardless of the facts.

perhaps he should have blamed clinton - seems to have worked for obama

or maybe he shouldn't have increased aids research

or maybe he should have turned down the offer to stand with clinton and try to raise money for haiti - only to have clinton's administrators 'lose' half of the donations

or maybe he should have told democrats 9/11 was because of some little known youtube video and ignored sadam's refusals to allow inspectors access to sites

or maybe he should have refused to sign dodd/frank

Bush should have blamed all his political and personal failures on the previous administration. After all, we are 4 years into the Obama administration and that is what BO does, and the public is dumb enough to keep buying it.

He should have served on Active duty, instead of hiding in the Texass Air National Guard, then he might have had some respect for our service members lives.

Source(s): I served, while he hid.
