Project X: Why all the hate?

Saw the movie a few nights ago, and I really enjoyed it the entire way through. I thought the documentary-film technique was really creative (starting out as the one camera at the start of the movie & party, as the party gets bigger the amount of documentary goes up from the other camera's owned by people at the party, later the cop cameras are added in, etc etc.) And not that the plot was some masterpiece by any means, but I thought it was different, for a party movie.

Main point: why did everyone hate the movie so much? Most of the criticism was negative. One even said it was the worst comedy in the past 20 years. I can understand where an older audience would find it to be an annoying movie. I'm 19, so I'm sure that plays a role in why I enjoyed it. But I still know guys around my age that thought the movie was garbage.

What's your input on the movie, and why you (most likely) thought it sucked? If you did enjoy it actually, than cheers. Feel free to respond either way.

And sorry for the half-as*ed grammar.
