Democrats, does it bother you that Obama lied about Benghazi being a result of a video?

I know of no lie, of which you speak. Obama came out the day after the attack and said it was terrorists, continued to say so, and according to the time line provided by the CIA and FBI confirm that result. Why you choose to believe right wing nut websites and Faux News on this and not legitimate sources is beyond me.

If Republicans were nearly as concerned about the 4,000 Americans that died in Iraq than the four that died in Libya, imagine where they'd be?

Putting that aside, I don't believe the whole Benghazi thing will do much for you guys at this point. The attack wasn't even an embassy, it was a diplomatic outpost which generally aren't guarded to the extent an embassy is. The actual American embassy is in Tripoli. The attack on the Benghazi consulate coincided with the film protests around the Middle East, so it was assumed by the intelligence at the time that an angry mob attacked the embassy because of the film. Even then, Obama called it a terrorist attack during a statement at the Rose Garden.

The fact that it was NOT caused by the film protests actually HELPED Obama tremendously. Think about it? It would be outrageous if an American outpost wasn't guarded well enough to prevent an unarmed mob from storming it...that means security was extremely weak and it was completely Obama's fault. That is why Carter was blamed so heavily for the Iran Hostage Crisis at the end of the day. It wasn't a terrorist attack, it coincided with an uprising in the country. This is just the opposite.

Considering there were fifty or so armed men with AK-47s and RPGs, no amount of security could have stopped that attack or prevented the embassy from being overrun. The local forces and the US guards were overwhelmed, plain and simple.

At the end of the day, the Libyans themselves protested the militias and drove them out of Benghazi.

Argument = Fail.

Actually, Obama stated the morning after in the Rose Garden speech that it was a terrorist attack. It's on the record.

OK I won't throw it back in your face that Bush was the President when we were attacked and over two thousand Americans died. I will point out though, that when that happened most Democrats were patriotic Americans and supported the President. It was only after Bush started another war that was totally unrelated that a few peopke like Michael Moore started looking at Bush's incompetence and dishonesty with 911. Also when our Marines were attacked in Beruit, Democrats supported President Reagan. It seems that when America is attacked when a Republican is President that we come together as Americans. When we are attacked when a Democrat is President, Republicans try to use it for political gain. Apparently it's the Democrats who are patriotic and Republicans who are treasonous.

The reason mainstream media doesn't cover it is because its not true. He didn't refuse to send help, and didn't blame it all on a video. In fact, the next day he stated there looked to be something more involved then just a spontaneous reaction to a video.

The problem is not that there was too little information, but too much so. It is still be analyzed.

The CIA did send in a security team, in fact, two of them died during a mortar attack while there.

No one has bothered to offer any evidence that it was not a factor. A motivator, an excuse, etc. connies love saying Barry lied, but they never bother to back up their own lies.

I'm not bothered at all because until we figure out some way to bring peace between us, people are going to keep dying on both sides. That's what i don't get about people like you, you just looking at this one instance in Bengahzi instead of seeing the whole ****** up big picture in the Middle East. What are we going to do to stop all people from dying?

Does it bother you that Bush could have prevented 9/11 and could have saved thousands and thousands of lives by not going to Iraq?

the FACTS ARE... there are REPORTS THAT SAY THAT THE TERRORISTS DID IT BECAUSE OF THE VIDEO... I know fox news didn't tell you that, but the reports are out there...

NOW... which reports are true, who knows for sure, they're still investigating... but for Obama to have seen some of these reports and to have repeated them, that's not crazy or a lie... it's just talking about what you know of the situation... WHICH BY THE WAY, he said he didn't know anything for sure when saying these things and that they were still investigating...

There were protests all over the middle east about that video. There was a protest outside the consulate around the same time the attack happened. You're obsessed with trying to turn a tragedy into a scandal when no scandal exists, and its obvious to everyone.
