Fill air into car's tire (using self-bought air compressor)?
Currently it is Nitrogen in the tire, can I fill the Air into the tire? Can I mix Air with Nitrogen? Or do I let Nitrogen out first then fill Air later?
Thanks.

The stuff you're breathing is mostly nitrogen, anyway.
Don't worry about what gas you're pumping. Make sure that you have a high-quality pressure gauge, and use it to set your tire pressure to the number in the doorframe, or the owner's manual. (NOT the number on the tire sidewall.)
Don't depend on the pressure gauge built-in to the compressor.

Yes you can mix them but the idea of the nitrogen is to reduce the need to pump up the tires as often as with air. Nitrogen molecules are larger than other gases so they retain the tire pressure better over time and through temperature changes. Putting in straight air will reduce the effectiveness of the nitrogen to retain the tire pressure over time. But if the tire needs more pressure then up to you whether to use air or go and have it refilled with nitrogen.

First, an air compressor would be means too loud. Secondly, wind is'nt enough to preserve a regular supply of energy to the compressor. What happens if you find yourself caught in stand-nonetheless traffic on the limited-access highway or on the avenue?

nitrogen is in the air, that we can not argue about. the reason why you would want to use ONLY nitrogen is to reduce or stop the rusting effect. the fact that oxygen combines with bare iron pretty easily to create FeO2 or iron oxide or rusted iron. really, it is not advisable but you own the car. myself, id find a shop that can do it the right way and extent the life of the rims.

you can mix air with nitrogen, just add the air to your tires and you will be fine.

Wish they didn't give school kids a day off, Yahoo gets flooded by kids asking the same question over and over, and the question is usually dumb.
