Possible causes for muscle fatigue, weakness, and joint stiffness after sitting or resting for minutes?

I am a full time mechanic. It's a pretty physical job. I am on my feet for 11 hours a day, on concrete floors for approximately 50hrs a week. When I sit to rest, even for five minutes, when I get back up my muscles burn and my joints are stiff. When I wake up in the morning the stiffness and pain are intensified to the point where I can barely walk. I am also experiencing being tired all of the time.

I can get up and go to work or work on something at home all day (16hours) and not be sore at all, but if I sit down and rest for a bit and try to get back up it hurts. I am only 24. Any suggestions?

    Dude...

Contact your doctor if you have one of the below symptoms:

Sudden weakness, particularly if it is in one area of your body

Sudden weakness after a viral illness

    Weakness that does not disappear

    Numbness and tingling

Sudden problems with movement, such as tremor, rigidity, unintentional movements, or difficulty in walking

The doctor will examine you, ask questions about your medical history, about medications you take and about the symptoms of your muscle weakness, such as: How long do you suffer from muscle weakness? Did it start after an illness or a vaccination?

Did it begin suddenly? Is it constant? Do you feel worse at nights or at the mornings? Does your weakness occur only after physical activity? What makes your weakness worse? What relieve your weakness? Does your weakness affect a particular part or area of your body? Do you have difficulties in walking, climbing stairs, sitting, or getting up?

Do you have difficulties in breathing, talking, chewing, or swallowing? Does your weakness occur with other symptoms, such as pain, numbness, tingling, change in your vision, fever, headaches, change in skin color, changes in your alertness, or responsiveness, diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss? Your doctor will examine your heart, lungs, thyroid gland, and if your weakness is localized to particular body parts.

The examination will include the nervous system and the muscles. You might be required to have a blood and a urine tests, thyroid tests, Lumbar puncture, MRI or CT scan, muscle biopsy and/or nerve conduction tests.

HIV doesn't turn into AIDS until years after becoming infected, so any symptoms you have now are not from HIV. Joint pain is an HIV symptom, but weak muscles are not. When HIV symptoms show up, the usual problems are strange infections, bleeding gums, diarrhea, night sweats, and feeling generally sick for more than two weeks straight. Go to the doctor and get tested - that should provide a lot of relief.
