Yes I did. Think I was no. 83,344 on the Texas petition.

On account that persons don't appear to recognize that you simply can not put the genie again in the bottle. Guns are already out there. Banning the sale of a special kind doesn't suggest they will disappear, or that mentally in poor health folks won't find one more technique to commit mass homicide. Should we ban suits in case any individual wishes to a fireplace?

I wonder how many people realize that this means no Federal money. I'll bet most, if not virtually all, of these folks have never looked into what that amounts to.
Are Texans, who are used to no taxes, ready to be taxes significantly to pay for 100% of the roads. Never mind social programs, the stuff you really need like roads will now because 100% your burden. And consider that entering or leaving the "state" will now require a passport. Some will require Visas, such as those crossing into an out of Texas/the United States.
I understand you don't like Obama, but becoming a sovereign nation is a major thing and very complicated.
Also interesting that the Texas governor, who is definitely not an Obama-supporter or a big-state-supporter, is totally against this. Know why? Because he recognizes that it's a major thing and not at all practical or in the best interest of Texas.
That said, if Texans (and these other states) are prepared for the reality of become sovereign, then go for it.
