Does auto correct sometimes get you in trouble?

That is so funny. I type & I am reading a book & watching tv & on the phone at the same time so I can only imagine what words have ended up on my messages that were not supposed to be there. Auto correct makes me crazy especially in Word. Before I type a Word document I make sure that the only things auto correcting are Spell Check and Capitalize first word in a sentence basically. I know how to type a letter and I know what words I want to use and don't want anything changing my format. Even the spell check just notifies me, their idea of fixing something usually has nothing to do with what I am trying to say.
