Black mildew on my bathroom walls.?
My bathroom has some black mildew it is not a lot. But I want to clean it as I am having company over for the Holidays and it will be very embarrassing for them to see that. I have a bottle of Murphy's soap oil do the trick? Or do I need to use something else? I am living on a tight budget right now so I really do not want to spend a lot of money on cleaning products.
OOPS I forgot to add I have a cleaner with bleach.

The cleaner with bleach will do it, but unless you cure the cause, it will be back in 24-48 hours

Cleaner with bleach. Use paper towels and sequester those towels in a trash can immediately to prevent the spread of spores.
Then after the company is gone, get some automotive anti-freeze, using caution...and protective gear paint the area with that. Keep pets and small children away while working. Antifreeze will permanently KILL the mildew/mold but will not reverse any damage. Get the area repaired asap to prevent dry rot.

Go to a dollar store and get a bathroom cleaning spray and some bathroom scrubbing sponges; even though it only cost two bucks it will work.
Don't use the Murphy's, it will make a mess.
