I recieved a notice of foreclosure letter?
I have been unemployed and not payed mortgage since August 1. I just received a letter that says, "Acceleration Warning (Notice of Intent to Foreclose) and it details what I owe. I called the number but they won't tell me the date it will foreclose. How do I know how much time I have to make a payment? What happens next?

The reason that they will not tell you the date that it will foreclose is because your home is not in foreclosure.
The letter is a letter of INTENT, meaning that if you do not get current on your payments they will start the foreclosure process which has to be started in the courts. Once they file then you have 90 days to get current on all back payments.
Your best option is to go down to the lender and see if you can work out some sort of an arrangement to avoid foreclosure. They may be able to grant you an extension so that you can resume payments for a month or two. Be aware that even though they might grant you this your first payment needs to be sufficient to pay the normal payment and the interest for the days between your last payment and the date you make a payment. You might think that your $1,000 (ad hoc number) normal house payment is all that you would need to make but if there are 3 months between payments then that payment would have to be closer to $3,000 (again ad hoc) just to bring you current.
A loan extension means you do not have to make a payment but interest accrues regardless, it is not forgiven.

Your out of time. The only way to stop foreclosure is to bring all payments due current immediately

Ask what payment they will accept. It is lieky they will accept nothign but full payment.

you lost your house, the police will be asked to come lock you out, meaning what u can carry you get the rest is the loan companies now. they wont tell u the date, just hurry and move before u lose all your belongs too.
