Is it true that young people don't know God?
I am young and I think I believe in God.
But I read that it takes a certain amount of maturity to believe in God. Young people cannot understand God (something like that)
However, I can't go around saying that I don't believe in God, because that's just wrong. I do feel like I believe in Him.

"Is it true that young people don't know God?"
No one knows God. You're not talking with anything up there, and nothing up there is talking back to you. Stop pretending.
"But I read that it takes a certain amount of maturity to believe in God."
No, it takes a certain amount of delusion to believe in God.
"However, I can't go around saying that I don't believe in God, because that's just wrong. I do feel like I believe in Him."
You're terribly confused. There is nothing wrong with not believing in something of which there is no evidence for. If you want to believe in God because it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and it literally helps you get through the day, fine.
It's a better world without gods. A place where we are responsible for our own actions, where we can be kind to one another because we want to and because it's the right thing to do rather than being frightened into behaving out of fear of divine punishment. Look, I won't tell you what to believe. It is far better to think critically and make your own decisions rather than have someone else's notions thrust upon you.

So it takes maturity to believe in an invisible sky wizard and live life with a childish carrot or stick approach?
Oh please think

People of all ages believe in God. More importantly - God wants to have a deper relationship with you. This takes time and so older people often have more of an opportunity to explore that option.

"But I read that it takes a certain amount of maturity to believe in God"
It takes maturity to accept a hypothesis for which there is no evidence?

Many children tend to have imaginary friends, but they usually grow out of it by the time they're adolescents.

We've got a massive liberal agenda going on today, where schools and colleges are trying to phase out religion. It's not going to work, Christianity is the one true faith, and the filthy liberal scourge isn't going to change that.

You have it backwards. Indoctrination of children is especially heinous because they haven't had the chance to develop an educated objective worldview.
