so im working on building a custom gaming rig, and i've barely had/have any experince, my question is, will this set up work?(as in, are they all competiable to the motherboard?)
nzxt m59 case
asus m5a99x evo motherboard
crossair vengence 2x4gb ram
amd fx 4170 zambezi (quad) core
COOLER MASTER RS500-PCARD3-US 500W Power Supply (24 pin motherboard, 6 pin pcix)
xfx hd 6770 gpu (crossfire support? yes, taking adavntage? no)
antec kuhler h20 cooling system (prefably get one from taiwan)
i'll fish a sata cd reader from an old pc
flash drive (tempormintal) hard drive
linux (replace when i go to taiwan) bios
budget: ~$550 USD
im only 14 and this is my first build, so cut me some slack and dont be so critical :P

Wow, nice system.
Yes that will work.
Motherboard is good
Nice case.
Ram is fine for normal gaming or computer tasks
I would recommend a power supply unit > 500 watts say a 550 watts is ok, this power supply unit supports the crossfire.
I would recommend against using a water cooling system for your first build, spend that money on a Hard disk instead say 500GB or 1TB.
Linux? If your planning to do gaming on computer get Windows (this will however blow your budget by 100 USD or so) other wise its fine if you plan on getting windows later.
